Five Minutes With… Alan Kilpatrick – Network Manager, Focused Engineering Network

Focused Engineering Network (FEN) is based out of Enterprising Monaghan’s M:Tek business centre in Monaghan. Alan explains that the organisation specialises in business development, collaborative working and training & development in the counties of Monaghan, Louth and Cavan.Since starting in October 2019, Focused Engineering Network has started the process of getting the regions engineering companies to collaborate and work together for the benefit of the sector.

 

Why did you choose the M:Tek building?

Alan says that “The M:Tek building is centrally located in the North East region and it is an ideal location for the Network to service Monaghan, Cavan and Louth.” Alan is also delighted that the M:Tek provides high speed broadband, parking and canteen facilities of the highest standards.

Before making their final decision on whether to choose the M: Tek we received a recommendation from a friend who is currently operating out of the M: Tek building for over 18 years and they highly recommend the facility for FEN’s operations.

 

What’s the best thing about being located in Monaghan?

Alan explains how “Monaghan and the North East in general has long standing history of engineering, innovation, design and development and it is great to be located in area where all this is happening!”

 

What are the plans for the future?

Alan says “It’s early days for Focused Engineering Network, but our business is continuing to grow everyday as more and more companies become involved.”

5 Minutes With… Ronnie Kane, KC Accounting Solutions

Ronnie Kane, Principal of KC Accounting Solution’s is based at Enterprising Monaghan’s M:Tek business centre in Monaghan Town. Ronnie explains that his company provides a fully outsourced Bookkeeping and Payroll Service together with Management Accounts and Business Performance Reports particularly to the retail sector.  Ronnie’s KC Accounting can provide a personal service to meet all their client’s regulatory needs. Since starting 2006, KC Accounting has successfully worked with a range of clients including clients in Musgrave & Barry Group. KC employs a total of five people at its Monaghan office.

Why did you choose the M:Tek building?

 Ronnie says he chose M:Tek because he was operating out of a home office and wanted to upgrade into a conveniently located location for his staff and avail of the excellent services which the M:Tek building provided. I.e. the excellent broadband, parking facilities and canteen, Ronnie says apart from these facilities there is a great community spirit & comradery in the M:Tek.

What’s the best thing about being located in Monaghan?

Ronnie says he has an array of clients across Ireland ranging from Dublin, Cavan, Meath, Louth, Offaly and Donegal. Monaghan is conveniently located and within easy access to these areas.
